About The Position

The IT Specialist (Sysanalysis) position involves analyzing and refining systems requirements, performing feasibility studies, and developing plans for implementing IT solutions. The role requires a strong focus on customer service, problem-solving, and effective communication, as well as the ability to enforce security principles and manage configuration changes. This position is critical in ensuring that IT systems meet the needs of the organization and comply with federal regulations.

Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen.
• Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
• Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
• Must obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty.
• Must obtain and maintain credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area System Requirements Planner code 641 within 12 months of appointment.
• Must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with cybersecurity principles and practices.
• Familiarity with federal IT regulations and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and refine systems requirements.
• Perform analysis to define opportunities for new or improved business solutions.
• Conduct feasibility studies and trade-off analyses, preparing business cases for IT solutions.
• Develop plans to implement, test, deploy, and train for each software/functionality release.
• Enforce configuration management, change control, and information assurance security principles.
• Design or conduct analytical studies or other research.
• Develop government Statements of Work (SOW), Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCE), and Business Case Analysis (BCA) or Abbreviated Systems Decision Papers (ASDP).
