This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. Serves in the Network Technology Command as a team member on the application of Change Management policies and procedures. This position is located at Fort Huachuca, AZ.

  • Works directly with staff to determine technical and functional ramifications associated with implementation of IT aspects of Requests for Change (RFC) initiatives.
  • Oversees, coordinates enterprise level Change Management processes allowing for the implementation of networks-based IT systems or capabilities that support unclassified and classified voice, data, and video, and ports, protocols, and services.
  • Performs Quality Control and Quality Assurance on submissions of RFCs and Ports, Protocols, and Services (PPSM) during the review of change requests submitted to the Department of Defense Information Network-Army (DoDIN-A) portal site.
  • Coordinates and leads meetings, technical working groups, and interactions between board members and requesting organization to determine technical and functional ramifications associated with implementation of IT aspects of RFC initiatives.
  • Serves as a Contract Office Representative for three to five small contracts providing supporting IT services for Force Protection, the Army's interface with the Joint Regional Security Stack, and Army tactical satellite support request system.
  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top Secret/SCI security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • This position is Mission Essential. In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency situations (natural or man-made disaster) the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.
  • In support of contingency operations, incumbent may be required to work overtime and shift work on short notice to include nights, holidays and weekends.
