As an IT Specialist (PLCYPLN) at the GS-2210-13/14 level, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining strategic plans that assess policy needs and create policies governing Information Technology (IT) activities. Your responsibilities will include providing policy guidance to IT management, staff, and customers, which will help define both current and future business environments. You will also be tasked with preparing IT budgets and managing investment portfolios, establishing metrics to measure and evaluate systems performance and total cost of ownership. In this position, you will identify and address workforce planning and management issues related to IT, such as recruitment, retention, and training. You will conduct audits of IT programs and projects to ensure compliance with information security and assurance policies. Additionally, you will assist in the development of Organizational Execution Plans (OEP), Business System Certifications, and various certification requests to support mission plan objectives. Your role will require you to interact with both internal and external customers, working collaboratively across teams and directorates. You will prepare and deliver oral and written communications to diverse audiences within the organization, demonstrating problem-solving, prioritization, and reasoning skills when faced with technical and organizational challenges.
