About The Position

The IT Specialist intern will be responsible for supporting our in-house IT department in providing technical assistance, maintaining both cloud and on-prem systems, strengthening our cybersecurity posture, and helping to implement and train staff on new technologies. It is also desirable for this position to be able to research and present to the IT team information regarding IT best practices and improvements to our existing processes and systems.

Requirements

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or Technical degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Experience or Knowledge in system security, infrastructure, and cloud-based SaaS
• Willing to train and troubleshoot end-users
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Able to work independently and as part of a team

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with Cloud and SaaS
• Desire to learn further cloud-based cybersecurity

Responsibilities

• Work directly with staff and customers on software-related issues to minimize delays
• Under IT staff guidance, install, configure, and troubleshoot computer systems, both hardware and software
• Monitor our technology stack for issues and analyze our security reports for threats
• Break down data from multiple sources and provide trends and areas of improvement to the IT Department
• Work with all staff to share in technology training
• Participate in multiple IT projects and commitments
• Participate in performance process and applying feedback
