The IT Specialist (Developer) designs, develops, and maintains web-based applications and security controls to support organizational online operations. This role enhances user interface functionality, ensures website security and compliance, and applies Internet security technologies to safeguard digital assets and transactions. Requirements

  • Approximately five (5) years of experience in web development or related technical field.
  • Experience designing and developing secure web-based applications.
  • Familiarity with Internet security technologies and firewall implementations.
  • Experience managing user access controls and compliance monitoring.
  • Knowledge of security policy development and enforcement.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s Degree (BS/BA) in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field required;OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

  • Related industry certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build web pages using graphics software applications and development tools.
  • Develop user interface features, site animations, and interactive elements.
  • Support design initiatives to enhance the organization’s online presence.
  • Align website design with organizational communication strategies and goals.
  • Perform procedures necessary to ensure website and transaction security across Internet and intranet environments.
  • Apply Internet firewall technologies and security controls.
  • Update and manage user access, including adding and deleting users.
  • Monitor and follow up on compliance violations.
  • Develop and maintain security policies, practices, and guidelines.
  • Ensure users understand and adhere to security procedures.
  • Support troubleshooting and resolution of security or performance issues.
