The position supports the operational use of assigned software applications by delivering solutions that meet customer requests. The role is customer service-oriented, requiring the promotion of professional relationships with both customers and vendors. A key responsibility includes coordinating issue escalation with vendor support, ensuring that any problems are addressed promptly and effectively. The individual in this role is also responsible for coordinating updates, patches, maintenance, and backup routines with the vendor, customer, and internal IT team. This ensures that all software applications are functioning optimally and that any necessary updates are implemented in a timely manner. In addition to these responsibilities, the position requires delivering timely knowledge and service assistance on assigned applications. This includes implementing appropriate application solutions tailored to meet customer needs and assisting in the implementation of projects, serving as a project resource. The individual will act as a liaison between customer departments and Information Technology staff for both major and minor application projects, ensuring that all parties are aligned and informed throughout the process. The role also involves developing and implementing IT applications that are consistent with customer requirements and industry standards. Security administration is a critical aspect of the job, requiring adherence to IT procedures. The individual will serve as a limited training resource, mentoring new employees and helping them acclimate to the systems and processes in place. Additionally, the position entails developing and implementing cost savings and performance improvement processes to enhance operational efficiency. Maintaining performance, patient and employee satisfaction, and financial standards as outlined in the performance evaluation is essential. Compliance with requirements as outlined in the Employee Handbook is mandatory, and adherence to DCH Behavioral Standards is expected, which includes creating positive relationships with patients, families, coworkers, and colleagues. The individual must perform essential job functions in a manner that ensures the safety of patients, visitors, and employees, identifying and reducing unsafe practices that may result in harm. The role requires the use of electronic mail, time and attendance software, learning management software, and the intranet, and adherence to all DCH Health System policies and procedures is required.
