Our Summer Internship Program, beginning in June 2026, provides immersive training and introduction to Santander. You will be combining this training with practical experience on both technical and interpersonal skills, helping your development during the internship. The 2026 Santander Summer Internship Program is for undergraduate students and/or graduate level students who have an expected graduation date between December 2026 and May/June 2027. Santander US is a nationwide business with locations across the country. This position is located in Boston, MA, New York, NY or Dallas, TX . You will be given exposure to the innerworkings of one largest financial institutions in the world. Working with best-in-class teams and contributing to projects that drive innovation across the organization. As part of the internship program, you will participate in structured professional development opportunities, create connections with peers and meet leaders across Santander. As a Risk Management intern, you will come out of this experience with an understanding of Risk Management Technology Solutions within the Financial Services industry. You’ll be part of a team of talented professionals who interact with senior risk team personnel, business managers, Information Technology teams, and other disciplines. You will work with this team to understand business operations and dynamics, and build technology solutions to analyze, monitor, and manage related risks. You’ll assist in the development of tools and systems to support activities that minimize the company's exposure to risk coupled with building and maintaining new processes. Activities will include requirements analysis, solution design and testing, technical documentation, system data management, and other aspects of technology solutioning, as well as supporting and enhancing risk management business processes.

Requirements

• An undergraduate student with an expected graduation date between either December 2026 or May/June 2027.
• Area of Study: Business, Finance, Accounting, or Information Technology
• Cumulative GPA is 3.0 or above.
• Expertise in delivering high quality work products, reflecting attention to detail and analytical process
• Ability to quickly grasp complex concepts, including global business and regulatory matters
• Demonstrates intellectual curiosity and courage.
• Strong English communication skills both written and spoken required.
• Analytical thinkers with a strong attention to detail.
• Organized and able to manage time and multiple tasks efficiently.
• Ability to work independently on special projects.
• Ability to effectively contribute to a team environment.

Nice To Haves

• Coursework in or exposure to Information Technology, accounting, finance, economics, or business. (Preferred)
• Experience in Microsoft Office products. (Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Participate in various risk management projects and initiatives
• Lead, support, and develop short-term projects
• Support the development of risk management technologies including most or all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (no programming experience required)
