About The Position

With moderate supervision, translates near-term and long-term business needs into technical initiative solution options.  Facilitates discussions, leads conceptual and high-level design sessions, capturing the results in artifacts, and ensures the architectural design is realized through delivery.  Provides context to the architecture team to enable team members to focus, mature domains, and create future-state architectures.   This IT Solutions Architect or IT Sr Solutions Architect supporting the Information Security Sub-portfolio, provide necessary oversight and strategic direction, bridging the gap between the company's needs and technical solutions to ensure alignment with overall strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, MIS, Business or related field, plus three years' related experience, or; 
  • Associate's degree in a technical field, plus five years' related experience, or; 
  • High School Diploma plus seven years' related experience.
  • Skill Breadth: 1 or more domains/portfolios
  • AWS Solutions Architect – Professional Certification

Responsibilities

  • Serves as the single point of accountability for architecture function to portfolio owner customers and technology leadership.
  • Provides architectural guidance on initiatives of moderate complexity, while managing multiple customers with differing priorities.
  • Provides full-stack architectural options that enable business objectives while ensuring long-term technology goals with little technical validation necessary.
  • Informs aspects of portfolio maturity regarding technology and ability to achieve target technology alignment, while facilitating a minimum viable architecture in alignment with delivery needs and technology modernization goals.
  • Monitors project execution and considers and interprets architectural tradeoffs occurring during delivery. Escalates for appropriate context sharing and decision making, as necessary.
  • Proactively enables portfolio owners to see technical debt clearly, provides appropriate context to leadership to inform plans for achieving elimination of technical debt.
  • Fosters an environment for architects and other technology leaders to grow and have high impact.
  • Drives closure on investment decisions within the enterprise while also identifying cross-portfolio impacts.
  • Provides actionable recommendations via consultation services, adapted to stakeholder context, to technology leadership and organizational stakeholders.
  • Collaborates with architects, portfolio owners, and other job families to achieve an enterprise view; provides project and program level views to project and program teams in context of enterprise strategies and directions.
  • Supports business agility through agile engagement across multiple delivery operations.
  • Interprets business needs, assesses solution choices, applies technology, and provides project guidance within a long-term enterprise lens.
