About The Position

If you are an IT Solution Architect professional looking for an opportunity to grow your career, this role offers the chance to shape how Emerson Test & Measurement (previously NI) uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) to transform product lifecycle and customer data capabilities. You will be a key leader in designing forward-looking, integrated technology solutions that bring together customer identity and access management, product lifecycle management, and customer master data to deliver seamless business and customer outcomes. In this role, you will: Partner with business stakeholders, product management, architects, and product teams to translate high-level, sometimes fuzzy concepts into clear, actionable solution architectures and implementation roadmaps. Design end-to-end solutions that integrate processes, platforms, data, and APIs across domains such as AI, customer identity and access management (CIAM), product lifecycle management (PLM), and master data management (MDM). Drive solution workstreams and decompositions that enable needed future-state capabilities while aligning with enterprise architecture standards, platform strategies, and technology roadmaps. Create and maintain architectural diagrams, conceptual and logical designs, proofs of concept, and design options, including risk, feasibility, and trade-off assessments. Guide teams on standard approaches to system design and integration, helping them apply architectural principles consistently across cloud-native and commercial off-the-shelf solutions. Lead and support the adoption of AI in both software development practices and business processes, identifying practical, value-adding use cases in the product lifecycle and customer data domains. Collaborate with fellow architects to develop a comprehensive view of the architecture landscape and provide holistic approaches to solving complex business problems. Stay current on industry trends and emerging technologies, assessing where they can be applied to enable new or evolving business capabilities. Champion innovation, integrity, collaboration, and inclusion in how solutions are designed, delivered, and supported, ensuring they are secure, scalable, and customer-centric. Who You Are: You demonstrate the ability to make sense of complex, high-volume, and sometimes conflicting information, effectively identifying key issues and making informed, timely decisions. You build strong partnerships by listening carefully to diverse stakeholders, adjusting your communication style to different audiences, and fostering an environment of trust and collaboration. You take a long-term view, connecting your daily work to strategic goals, and you anticipate future trends and implications when making design choices. You step up to address difficult issues, take ownership for outcomes, and follow through on commitments, even amid ambiguity and change. You are driven to continuously learn, experiment, and improve, seeking feedback and using it to refine both your technical and interpersonal approach.

  • Proven experience working closely with business partners, product management, and software engineering teams to create conceptual design artifacts, apply architectural principles, and align technology solutions to business strategies.
  • Experience building or designing cloud applications in containerized environments such as Kubernetes and integrating them with commercial off-the-shelf applications using APIs and extract-transform-load (ETL) or similar integration patterns.
  • Ability to clarify business outcomes and requirements, structure them into solution components, and create clear technical documentation and diagrams that teams can execute against.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences, facilitate discussions, and align diverse teams around a common solution direction.
