Additional information can be found at www.ttm.com Position Summary The IT Site Technician serves as the primary IT resource for the TTM sites, providing strategic technical support, operational coordination, and compliance oversight for all site-level IT activities. This role acts as a critical liaison between the site and enterprise IT, ensuring technology solutions meet local business needs while maintaining adherence to corporate IT standards, regulatory compliance requirements (NIST 800-171/800-53, ITAR, SOX), and cybersecurity frameworks. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with excellent communication skills, business acumen, and the ability to navigate complex compliance requirements in a manufacturing and defense environment.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Relevant technical certifications preferred (CompTIA Security+, Network+, A+, ITIL, etc.)
  • Or mix of technical training and years of experience in related IT field.
  • 5-7 years of relevant IT experience in technical support, IT operations, or systems administration
  • Demonstrated experience with compliance and regulatory frameworks (NIST, ITAR, SOX)
  • Operating Systems: - Windows 10/11 (advanced) - Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) - macOS (proficient)
  • Applications & Software: - Microsoft Office Suite (365, 2019, 2016) - Advanced - Microsoft 365 Administration (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive) - Enterprise applications (ERP, MES, business-critical systems) - Remote support tools (Bomgar/BeyondTrust, Remote Desktop) - ITSM/Ticketing systems (ServiceDesk Plus, ServiceNow, or similar)
  • Infrastructure & Systems: - Active Directory administration and troubleshooting - Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and hybrid identity - Group Policy management and deployment - DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP networking - VPN technologies and remote access solutions - Print servers and network printing - Backup and recovery systems
  • Security & Compliance Tools: - Endpoint security platforms (SentinelOne, Defender, antivirus) - Multi-factor authentication (MFA) and single sign-on (SSO) - Security monitoring and logging tools - Vulnerability scanning and patch management - Mobile device management (MDM) solutions - Data loss prevention (DLP) tools
  • Endpoint Management: - Endpoint management platforms (SCCM, Intune, EndpointCentral) - Software deployment and patch management - Hardware lifecycle management - Asset tracking and inventory management
  • Networking: - TCP/IP fundamentals and troubleshooting - LAN/WAN concepts and technologies - Wireless networking (802.11 standards) - Network switches and routers (basic) - Firewall concepts and access controls - VoIP and telephony systems
  • Must be U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident due to ITAR requirements
  • Ability to obtain and maintain facility security clearance if required
  • Background check and security screening required
  • Compliance with all facility access and security protocols

Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day IT operations and activities at the Syracuse site, ensuring system stability, service availability, and user satisfaction
  • Provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support for end-user workstation problems, software applications, and IT systems
  • Identify, evaluate, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues affecting site operations and productivity
  • Perform system maintenance, updates, and preventive maintenance activities
  • Monitor IT infrastructure and services to proactively identify and address potential issues
  • Support after-hours and emergency IT needs as required
  • Respond to Help Desk calls and service requests from site user base
  • Resolve Level 1 end-user problems including hardware, software, network, and application issues
  • Support and train end-users on a wide range of software applications and IT systems
  • Provide technical guidance and assistance to business users at all levels
  • Document support activities and solutions in ticketing system
  • Escalate complex issues to enterprise IT teams or specialized resources as appropriate
  • Assist in implementing shared IT services, infrastructure systems, and standardized processes at the site
  • Support deployment of enterprise applications, system upgrades, and technology refresh initiatives
  • Coordinate site-level aspects of enterprise IT projects and implementations
  • Ensure local IT systems integrate properly with enterprise infrastructure
  • Support migration activities and technology transitions
  • Strong knowledge of current desktop and laptop operating systems (Windows 10/11, macOS) and hardware
  • Skilled in network and printing troubleshooting and problem resolution
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies, processes, and business requirements
  • Read, understand, and apply complex technical information and documentation
  • Coordinate third-party vendor interactions for warranty service repair and maintenance
  • Act as primary liaison between Syracuse site and centralized enterprise IT organizations
  • Communicate local site needs, requirements, and priorities to enterprise IT leadership
  • Translate enterprise IT initiatives and standards into site-level implementation plans
  • Facilitate collaboration between site business users and IT service delivery teams
  • Represent site interests in enterprise IT planning and decision-making processes
  • Partner with site business leaders to understand technology needs and operational challenges
  • Work with IT partners across the organization to recommend solutions that improve site efficiency and effectiveness
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local management, business users, and IT stakeholders
  • Serve as trusted advisor on IT matters for site leadership
  • Communicate IT changes, updates, and initiatives to site user community
  • Support IT compliance activities including audits, risk assessments, user access reviews, and security controls
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory and industry standards including:
  • - NIST 800-171 (Controlled Unclassified Information protection)
  • - NIST 800-53 (Security and Privacy Controls)
  • - ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations)
  • - SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act)
  • - Other applicable cybersecurity frameworks and defense industry requirements
  • Comply with TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures and all applicable export laws
  • Identify ITAR-controlled products on manufacturing floor and restrict access to US Citizens and US Permanent Residents only
  • Recognize foreign person visitors by badge differentiation and understand access restrictions
  • Follow authorization procedures for foreign visitor access (Visitor Authorization Letter - VAL)
  • Understand and comply with export and ITAR requirements for international shipments
  • Manage vendor approvals for ITAR-related manufacturing and services
  • Support cybersecurity controls and security monitoring activities
  • Participate in security awareness and compliance training
  • Assist with IT audit preparation, documentation, and response
  • Participate in risk assessments and vulnerability management activities
  • Document compliance activities and maintain audit trails
  • Maintain IT service standards and service level agreements (SLAs)
  • Monitor and report on IT service quality and performance metrics
  • Identify opportunities to improve service delivery and user experience
  • Support implementation of IT best practices and ITIL-aligned processes.
  • Assist with IT procurement activities and equipment ordering for site needs
  • Support asset management and inventory tracking
  • Coordinate equipment delivery, installation, and deployment
  • Assist with IT documentation including procedures, system configurations, and technical standards
  • Maintain accurate records of IT assets, configurations, and changes
  • Create and update knowledge base articles and user guides
  • Document compliance activities, audit findings, and remediation actions
  • Generate and distribute IT reports including service metrics, asset inventory, and compliance status
  • Support IT planning activities with data analysis and reporting
  • 3 Track and report on IT projects, initiatives, and key performance indicators
  • Provide input to IT budget planning and resource allocation
  • Contribute to site IT planning and technology roadmap development
  • Identify technology needs and opportunities for improvement
  • Support business continuity and disaster recovery planning for site IT systems
  • Participate in IT strategy discussions and planning sessions
