About The Position

The IT Services Supervisor role is perfect for someone who thrives in dynamic environments and loves solving complex problems. You will lead a talented team dedicated to ensuring seamless desktop support services for end users across the County. The position offers the excitement of developing and implementing customer service strategies, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of hardware support, and contributing to long-range systems planning. By directly supervising and mentoring your team, you will significantly impact efficiency and effectiveness while interacting with various IT Managers and support staff across the County.

Requirements

• Three years of experience in IT operations or related field
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• A combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the minimum qualifications on a year-for-year basis

Nice To Haves

• Six to ten years of progressive experience in IT operations or related fields is preferred
• At least three to five years in a supervisory or managerial role
• Experience working with multiple departments to implement IT solutions
• Proficiency in personal computer systems, LAN/WAN, software, hardware troubleshooting, and asset management tools
• Experience with IT ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Zendesk)

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct the work of IT operational support teams (e.g., help desk or PC/LAN); select, train, coach, and mentor staff
• Develop and implement customer service strategies; maintain current knowledge of personal computer and hardware support
• Ensure support practices adhere to policy and procedure compliance, recommend changes and adjustments to maximize efficiency
• Participate in budget preparation and administration
• Maintain current knowledge of asset and knowledge management, software architecture, and upgrade techniques
• Troubleshoot and resolve the most complex problems and ensure that division objectives are met
• Assist in the creation of IT operation strategies, personal computer strategies, and support standards
• Assists leadership in long-range systems planning
• Other job duties as assigned
