About The Position

The Site Reliability Engineer III (Mid) may monitor, optimize, deploy, test, and maintain system software and operating systems (e.g. Linux/Windows). This individual installs, patches, implements DoD security mandated configuration and best practices, troubleshoots and/or resolves functional, software, operating system, and networking problems, provides meaningful performance metrics and optimizes system/software performance. The individual is expected to support on-prem and cloud hosting and environment(s) for production and DevSecOps systems, processes and software.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (BS) in Computer Science (CS), Information Systems (IS), or other related field or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or a similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud-native architectures and microservices.
  • Proficiency in multiple programming languages and experience with infrastructure-as-code.
  • Strong expertise in container orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker Swarm) and virtualization technologies (VMWare).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Git, GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins, CircleCI).
  • Solid grasp of Linux Command Line (CLI) and package management tools (e.g., yum, apt, dnf).
  • Solid understanding of relational and non-relational database technologies (e.g., Oracle DB, MySQL, MongoDB, CouchDB).
  • Solid understanding of the Java Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) and enterprise Java Application servers (e.g. JBoss EAP, Wildfly, Glassfish ESB).
  • Solid ability to automate and reduce manual processing tasks.
  • Previous experience working in a cloud environment (e.g. AWS, Google, Azure).
  • U.S. Citizenship (required per government contract).
