About The Position

Keesler Federal Credit Union is seeking interns to join our dynamic Information Technology Team. With an opportunity to be selected for one of our paid internship positions, you will experience active development from one of the best teams in our industry. These positions will run for 90 days and offer flexibility with scheduling. The intern hired will enhance their skills while being partnered with a mentor on a project that will help enhance their communication skills, heighten their awareness of live IT business needs, and further develop their knowledge of information technology in our industry. This team is responsible for the overall management and innovation of client hardware, operating systems and applications. They support the organizations' needs through IT Infrastructure services and applications along with providing 2 tier/level support. Our interns will be exposed to various projects and tasks including inventory control, performing research and analysis to provide resolution for complex technical issues related to client systems, enterprise applications and network services; performing a wide variety of end-user support functions; serving as a liaison with other team members to meet the goals of the organization; managing general and operational service requests; and other duties as assigned. The selected candidate should be passionate about information technology and how it relates to business; be able to work well with others and quickly adapt to changes or challenges; and most importantly be willing to learn. Requirements

  • Majoring in Information Technology, Computer Science, or the equivalent knowledge and experience
  • Trustworthy, motivated, organized, and possess good communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Active Directory
  • Familiarity with System Center
  • Knowledge of Cisco Switching
  • Understanding of SD-WAN
  • Experience with Meraki Wireless
  • Familiarity with computers and peripherals
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies

Responsibilities

  • Assist with inventory and diagrams
  • Assist with system image configuration and development
  • Assist with hardware testing and deployment
  • Participate in team meetings, projects, tasks, and assignments
