The IT Service Manager oversees technical operations teams directly and is responsible for day-to-day operations within the Tolls Data Center (TDC). This role ensures that equipment and software are appropriately maintained to sustain operational needs, achieving required availability. The manager is responsible for Disaster Recovery site availability and health, including regular testing to ensure readiness. Additionally, the manager oversees department service contracts and ensures that all metrics, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and dashboards are up to date regarding hardware and software components of the data center. The position requires collaboration with the Infrastructure manager to define proper sizing and strategy regarding equipment lifecycle, patching, and upgrades. Monthly review sessions are led to assess systems health, trends, and potential risks. The manager identifies process improvements and ensures that resources are allocated to deliver necessary services to the operation. Furthermore, the role involves supporting staff assessments, professional development plans, and ensuring compliance with Cyber Security requirements and Payment Card Industry (PCI) standards.
