The IT Service Desk Operations Manager will play a crucial role in supporting the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) by overseeing the IT Service Delivery solutions. This position is vital as the SEC aims to protect investors and maintain fair and efficient markets. The selected candidate will lead a dynamic team of IT professionals, ensuring that the IT infrastructure is managed effectively and that service levels are met to the satisfaction of customers. The role requires a strong leader who can define and set team direction, manage daily operations, and serve as the single point of contact for all IT support issues, including service desk and desk-side support, inventory control, and special projects. The candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting complex issues and providing incident resolution for escalated support, ensuring that all stakeholders are kept informed throughout the process. The SEC ISS program is a comprehensive IT initiative that requires a proactive approach to managing IT support teams and projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in IT support, particularly in managing teams of 25 or more, and will be adept at running multiple projects simultaneously. The role also involves conducting root cause analysis and leading dispersed teams to develop effective responses to various IT challenges. The candidate must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain a Public Trust Suitability clearance, as per contract requirements.
