The IT Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading teams to deliver complex IT project(s) that span across one or more business units. This individual will manage project cross functional resources, schedules, budgets, and communications to all project stakeholders and will manage the relationship with the project team and stakeholders. This also includes the management and contribution to process improvement initiatives as it relates to improving project delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Work with various project stakeholders to define project scope, requirements and deliverable objectives.
  • Manage the relationship with project team and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate cross functional teams - including software developers, business owners, security experts, and external resources - to meet project goals.
  • Manage a portfolio of complex initiatives that span one or multiple lines of business.
  • Maintain timelines and target dates of projects to ensure successful completion within budgeted time and cost constraints.
  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Create, manage and communicate effective project plans, and deliver clear objectives and updates to all project stakeholders.
  • Report and escalate to management as needed.
  • Continue professional development to keep abreast of emerging technologies, methods and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or related field or equivalent experience.
  • 7 years of progressive project management experience.
  • Working Knowledge of Waterfall and Agile Life Cycles methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results while working on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated success in influencing people and teams who are not all direct reports.
  • Strong verbal/written communication skills.
  • Confident and self-motivated individual with a dedicated approach.
  • Strong ability to prioritize and multi-task in a high-paced environment.
  • Ability to learn new technology applications and process techniques quickly.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in building and managing a project schedule in Smartsheets, Jira, Azure DevOps or similar project management tool.
