The IT Senior Business Analyst plays a crucial role in influencing a cross-functional team to optimize application capabilities and business processes. This position involves providing comprehensive business analysis and project/product support for the development, enhancement, quality assessment, and ongoing support of relevant lines of business (LOBs). The analyst will utilize industry trends to influence requirements for new application features and enhancements that align with strategic priorities. In this role, the analyst will identify the business needs of users, outline potential solutions, and translate business requirements into appropriate formats, including user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and data mapping. The analyst is responsible for maintaining requirements documentation in standard formats and repositories, ensuring traceability between scope, features, and functional requirements. Collaboration with users, vendors, and development team members is essential to deliver the best technical solutions that meet business requirements. The IT Senior Business Analyst will also act as a liaison to clarify development and testing teams on intended functionality and user stories. They will significantly contribute to the design process to ensure it supports business requirements and optimizes user experience. The analyst will capture requirements for highly complex systems across multiple stakeholders and apply the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to the execution of deliverables. Additionally, they will work with Quality Assurance Specialists (QAS) to develop project testing strategies and support user acceptance testing to ensure quality in application releases and user experience. The role requires advising on security, risk management, and IT process principles, escalating issues to appropriate teams as needed. The analyst will partner effectively with security and risk teams to ensure that technology portfolio changes adhere to established standards. Active participation in Agile squad ceremonies and the use of Agile principles and tools such as Confluence and JIRA are also key components of this position. The analyst will contribute to and lead efforts in the Business Analyst Center of Excellence, evolving requirements analysis and management practices.
