About The Position

The L3Harris Surveillance and Automation Solutions Security team seeks an enthusiastic and fast learner with a keen eye for detail to join us in monitoring, analyzing, escalating, and responding to security threats for our safety-critical air traffic control system. The ideal candidate will possess theoretical knowledge of SOC operations, standard tools, and best practices. If you work effectively under general direction, communicate well within and beyond your immediate team, engage with various levels of leadership, and are dedicated to explaining, interpreting information, and improving processes and systems to achieve operational objectives, this is a great role for you.

Requirements

• Requires developing job knowledge/skills.
• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
• Self-starter who demonstrates curiosity and initiative.
• Ability to work in a dynamic team-oriented environment.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work onsite daily (M-F).

Nice To Haves

• Hands-on experience with Linux operating systems, including shell scripting.
• Security +/Network + or other related Security certifications.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for analyzing and/or administering security controls for information systems.
• Safeguards the network against unauthorized infiltration, modification, destruction or disclosure.
• Research, evaluate, test, recommend, communicate and implement new security software or devices.
• Implements, enforces, communicates and develops security policies or plans for data, software applications, hardware, and telecommunications.
• Manages the company's firewalls and intrusion detection systems.
• Provides information to management regarding the negative impact on the business caused by theft, destruction, alteration or denial of access to information.
• Entry-level professional with broad theoretical job knowledge.
• Works under general direction and guidance within standard processes for non-routine tasks.
• Communicates with contacts in own team to explain and interpret information.
• Contributes to systems and processes changes in work routines.
• Works to achieve operational targets that impact team results.
