The IT Security Manager - Application Security at Worldpay is responsible for leading a team of security engineers to enhance the security posture of the organization. This role involves establishing a high-performing team, contributing to enterprise security architecture, managing security tools, and fostering collaboration across various teams to ensure secure solutions. The manager will also participate in incident response activities and stay updated on emerging security threats and technologies.

  • Establish a high-performing team of security engineers to operate a modern, effective product security program.
  • Contribute to the enterprise security architecture and develop a technical roadmap to drive security initiatives and continuous improvements.
  • Be accountable for security tool lifecycle - from evaluation, design, implementation, maintenance, automation, and decommission.
  • Build partnerships with Worldpay business teams, vendors, security peers, and technology teams with a focus on collaboration to find secure solutions.
  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) to make informed decisions balancing security and business objectives.
  • Measure team performance and secure posture for improvement and maturity over time.
  • Establish internal technical standards, processes, and procedures.
  • Foster personal growth by enabling team members through career development, mentoring, and coaching.
  • Participate in incident response activities related to product security.
  • Stay abreast of new security technology, emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and security controls.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent education, training, or work experience.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in application and product security.
  • 2-3 years of professional experience leading and managing technical teams.
  • Experience working with SAST, SCA, and DAST tools.
  • Experience with Java / .NET.
  • Experience with software engineering, SDLC, and CICD pipelines.
  • Ability to communicate and breakdown technical concepts to others.
  • Strong analytical skills including solving and communicating complex problems, data analytics, measurement, and reporting needed to drive continuous improvement.
  • Experience with evaluating, reviewing, and deploying product security tools.
  • Proficiency in information security domains, including policies and standards, risk and control assessments, regulatory compliance, risk and control governance and metrics, and issue management.
