About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Security Engineer who possesses a deep understanding of security concepts beyond the buzzwords. The ideal candidate will be able to describe how security mechanisms work and should work and provide situational recommendations on securing commonly used connection types.

Requirements

Proven ability to make security recommendations and understand tradeoffs
In-depth knowledge of the OWASP Top Ten and its real-world applications
Experience with secure coding practices in at least one programming language
Strong system security knowledge
Solid understanding of data security principles
Expertise in API security
Proficiency in network security
Knowledge of Zero Trust principles and their implementation
Ability to implement security in depth
Familiarity with the software security lifecycle or DevSecOps
Ability to read, interpret, and offer remediation advice on code scans, with a focus on prioritization

Nice To Haves

Relevant certifications in cybersecurity
Experience with security tools and technologies
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Responsibilities

Make informed security recommendations, understanding the tradeoffs involved
