About The Position

The IT Security Analyst plays a critical role in protecting the organization’s digital infrastructure by monitoring, analyzing, and responding to cybersecurity threats. This position is responsible for supporting incident response, conducting security assessments, and implementing best practices to ensure compliance with company security policies and regulatory standards. The IT Security Analyst partners cross-functionally with IT and business teams to strengthen cybersecurity defenses and continuously improve the organization’s security posture.

Requirements

  • 4–6 years of direct experience in IT security, network security, or cybersecurity operations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • One or more relevant cybersecurity certifications, such as: ISC2 (CC, CISSP, SSCP, CGRC, ISSAP, ISSMP, ISSEP) GIAC certifications ISACA (CISM, CRISC, CISA) EC-Council (CEH, CND, ECES, CPENT, LPT, CASE)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail and a high level of personal accountability.
  • Demonstrated strong sense of ownership for security outcomes, with the ability to see initiatives through from identification to resolution.
  • Ability to clearly communicate security risks, expectations, and best practices to non-technical audiences.
  • Proactive approach to cybersecurity challenges, with a mindset focused on prevention, continuous improvement, and results.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with IT and business teams.
  • Professional appearance and presentation required.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze security alerts to identify, investigate, and respond to potential threats and incidents.
  • Assist with incident response efforts related to malware infections, cyber threats, and security breaches.
  • Conduct security assessments, vulnerability scans, and risk analyses; support remediation efforts.
  • Maintain and support secure network architectures, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection tools.
  • Utilize SIEM platforms and security tools to perform log analysis and threat detection.
  • Support the implementation and enforcement of security policies, standards, and best practices.
  • Communicate security risks, findings, and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Support compliance initiatives related to regulatory and industry security frameworks.
  • Stay informed on emerging cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation techniques.
  • Follow all company safety rules and assist in enforcement as appropriate.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
