About the position

As an IT Security Analyst specializing in Penetration Testing at FIS, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding sensitive financial data against cyber threats. This position involves performing manual penetration testing on web, mobile, and API applications, as well as networks, to identify vulnerabilities and recommend remediation strategies. You will collaborate with internal application teams and external partners, contributing to a fast-paced security environment focused on data protection.

Responsibilities

  • Perform manual penetration testing for web/mobile/API applications and networks.
  • Conduct dynamic scanning for web/mobile/API applications.
  • Assist with Veracode application security support, including secure designs and secure code.
  • Support Black Duck/3rd Party modules with application security solutions.
  • Articulate penetration test findings to developers, explaining exploits and remediations.
  • Provide support for Corporate APT findings and offer remediation guidance to developers.
  • Execute security controls to prevent unauthorized access to company information.
  • Research security protocol compromises and recommend solutions.
  • Maintain security systems and administer security policies to control access.
  • Manage company firewall and utilize encryption methods as needed.
  • Create information security documentation and complete requests per company requirements.
  • Respond to information security inquiries using established tools and procedures.
  • Resolve information security issues and follow through on resolutions.
  • Implement and administer information security controls using software and vendor systems.
  • Identify opportunities for workflow improvements and communicate business impacts to management.
  • Interface with the user community to understand security needs and implement accommodating procedures.
  • Ensure user community adherence to security procedures.
  • Provide status reports on security matters and develop risk analysis scenarios.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 6+ years of experience in Information Security and Technology.
  • Knowledge of network and security technologies.
  • Experience with network design and engineering.
  • Prior programming experience in Python, Java, or .NET, and familiarity with various frameworks.

Nice-to-haves

  • CISSP or any security-related certification is a plus.
  • AWS or Azure certification would be beneficial.
  • Knowledge of the Fintech or finance industry.
  • Familiarity with FIS products and services.
