This summer, we are looking for motivated individuals looking to begin a career in our Cybersecurity department to support our Vulnerability Management team. This role centers on identifying, analyzing, and helping remediate security vulnerabilities across our technology environment. In addition to primary VM responsibilities, the intern may also have the opportunity to gain exposure to broader cybersecurity disciplines, including Penetration Testing, Identity & Access Management (IAM), and Application Security. This position is ideal for someone eager to build foundational security skills in a hands-on, enterprise environment. CSAA Internship Program: As an intern, you will participate in an 11-week summer internship experience with an emphasis on hands-on learning and real-world immersion into our business. This role is remote. The anticipated hourly rate for this role is $27.00.

Requirements

  • Current undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Information Technology or Cybersecurity
  • Rising juniors and seniors ideally graduating within 1-2 semesters.
  • Interested to begin a career in Cybersecurity
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Must have authorization to work indefinitely in US

Responsibilities

  • Assist with running vulnerability scans across infrastructure, cloud resources, and applications.
  • Validate scan findings and help distinguish true positives from false positives.
  • Support prioritization of vulnerabilities based on risk, severity, and business impact.
  • Help track and document remediation progress with IT and development teams.
  • Research emerging threats, CVEs, and vendor advisories to support risk assessment.
  • Contribute to improving scanning processes, reporting, and dashboards.
  • Participate in internal testing activities such as reconnaissance or manual validation of critical vulnerabilities.
  • Assist with documentation of test procedures and findings.
  • Learn how access reviews, provisioning, and authentication controls support security posture.
  • Observe IAM processes related to privileged access and identity lifecycle.
  • Gain familiarity with secure coding principles and application scanning tools.
  • Assist in reviewing or validating application-layer vulnerabilities where appropriate.
