About The Position

The IT Security Administrator I supports the Information Security team at Giesecke+Devrient America, Inc (G+D) by assisting with day-to-day IT security operations, documentation, and compliance activities. This entry-level role provides exposure to Information Security standards, security technologies, and audit processes while developing foundational skills in IT Security. The Junior Information Security Administrator works under the guidance of senior team members.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 0–2 years of IT, cybersecurity, or technical support experience
• Basic understanding of information security principles
• Familiarity with networking, operating systems, and access controls
• Strong documentation and organizational skills
• Willingness to learn security standards such as ISO 27001 and PCI DSS

Nice To Haves

• Entry-level security certification preferred (Security+, Network+, or similar)

Responsibilities

• Assist with maintaining information security policies and procedures.
• Support compliance and audit preparation activities
• Assist with vulnerability scanning an dremediation tracking
• Monitor security alerts and escalate issues appropriately
• Maintain documentation for security related systems
• Perform other duties as assigned
