About The Position

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT: As an IT Requirements Manager, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of USCENTCOM. You will play a by leading the intake, analysis, validation, prioritization, and lifecycle management of enterprise IT requirements. This role serves as the primary interface between mission stakeholders, functional directorates, and technical delivery teams to ensure IT capabilities align with operational, cybersecurity, architectural, and compliance requirements across the CENTCOM Area of Responsibility (AOR). The position requires deep knowledge of DoD IT governance, requirements management processes, and enterprise service delivery in a joint, combatant command environment.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in IT requirements management, systems analysis, or enterprise IT support within the DoD or federal environment.
  • Experience supporting a Combatant Command, Joint Staff, or Major DoD headquarters.
  • Strong understanding of DoD IT governance, requirements processes, and enterprise service delivery.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior military and civilian leadership
  • Active Secret clearance (TS/SCI preferred or ability to obtain).
  • US citizenship required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Systems Engineering, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience supporting USCENTCOM J6 or similar CCMD J6 organization.
  • Familiarity with ITIL, Agile, SAFe, or similar frameworks.
  • Experience with enterprise architecture, cloud services, Zero Trust, or cybersecurity requirements.
  • PMP, ITIL, or requirements-related certifications (e.g., CBAP) preferred.
  • Military or joint operational background a plus

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the lead for IT requirements intake, analysis, documentation, and tracking in support of USCENTCOM J6 enterprise services.
  • Translate operational and mission needs into clear, actionable IT requirements, user stories, or capability statements.
  • Manage requirements through the full lifecycle—from concept and validation through implementation, acceptance, and sustainment.
  • Ensure requirements align with USCENTCOM priorities, Joint Information Environment (JIE) principles, and DoD IT policies.
  • Act as the primary liaison between J6 divisions, component commands, coalition partners (as applicable), and technical service providers.
  • Facilitate requirements working groups, boards, and adjudication forums.
  • Coordinate closely with architecture, cybersecurity, network operations, cloud, and service management teams to ensure feasibility and compliance.
  • Develop and maintain requirements artifacts including requirements documents, capability needs statements, traceability matrices, and briefing materials.
  • Track requirements status, dependencies, risks, and impacts using approved tools and dashboards.
  • Provide regular status updates and decision-support briefings to J6 leadership and contract management.
  • Ensure IT requirements comply with DoD, Joint Staff, and USCENTCOM policies (e.g., RMF, Zero Trust, data strategy, cloud adoption).
  • Coordinate requirements alignment with enterprise architecture, technical standards, and cybersecurity controls.
  • Support audits, inspections, and reviews related to IT governance and requirements execution.
  • Identify gaps, redundancies, or inefficiencies in requirements processes and recommend improvements.
  • Support modernization initiatives and emerging capabilities that enhance mission effectiveness across the CENTCOM AOR.
