As an IT Quality & Test Engineer, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling all test activities to ensure that our application and technical environments meet the defined requirements. You will design, build, and maintain an automation framework for testing the department's systems globally, manage and improve the infrastructure, and develop custom tools to enhance engineering productivity. Your role will involve defining the automation book of work and collaborating with various stakeholders across the bank, including international locations, to deliver efficiencies and productivity improvements via test automation. You will work within the Smart Technologies & Advanced Analytics Team (STAAT) under the Wealth Management Americas (WMA) Technology group, which provides online and offline communication tools for Financial Advisors and Team Administrators. The team leverages AI to detect client needs and surface actionable insights in real-time.

  • Design, build, and maintain an automation framework for testing the department's systems globally.
  • Manage, monitor, and improve the infrastructure.
  • Develop custom tools and integrate with existing tools to increase engineering productivity.
  • Define the automation book of work, collaborating with the team to deliver efficiencies and productivity improvements via test automation.
  • Liaise with multiple stakeholders at all levels across the bank, including international locations.
  • Comply with test strategy, testing standards, templates, and test plans.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or science or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution.
  • Previously held a testing automation role for ideally 8+ years within the finance sector.
  • Proven delivery of performing functional testing to assess for accuracy, suitability, interoperability, functionality, and accessibility.
  • Experience in non-functional testing to assess for security, reliability, efficiency, maintainability, and portability.
  • Ability to perform regression testing for project, product, and PRV (Production Readiness Verification).
  • Full project life-cycle experience in a Quality Assurance & Test capacity.
  • Excellent knowledge of both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Proven track record of requirements analysis and documentation.
  • Good knowledge of automation tools (Selenium, UFT).
  • Ability to work under challenging circumstances without sacrificing quality or attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • ISTQB/ISEB Certified (Foundation Level) or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of best practices across the development life cycle and experience of implementing it.
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships within and outside the immediate team.
  • Ability to provide leadership by example to your team by building a reliable and extensible QA approach with a key focus on automated and technical testing.
