The Reliability Manager (TDM) is primarily dedicated to the preservation of asset (equipment) reliability. Ensures compliance with all OSHA and safety programs relating to maintenance. Ensures maintainability of new equipment by participating in capital projects. Analyzes proposed installations and new installations for reliability issues and engineers out same. Identifies and corrects chronic and costly equipment problems through maintenance process improvement and root cause analysis. Provides technical support to management and hourly maintenance associates. Provides engineering support for equipment failures. Designs, develops, and administers the Predictive/Preventive Maintenance program. Maintains and analyzes equipment data and history to predict maintenance needs.

  • Evaluate and implement predictive and preventative maintenance (PM/PDM) strategies and techniques.
  • Administer and refine PM/PPM plans and schedules.
  • Evaluate PM for effectiveness.
  • Improve maintenance plans including PM tasks focusing on utilization of predictive and other non-destructive testing methodologies, lubrication practices, tools to drive autonomous maintenance, and comprehensive training plans for maintenance employees.
  • Review major equipment/systems failures using formal investigative tools and develop and implement PM/PDM tasks to minimize or eliminate unplanned failures.
  • Lead and support downtime investigations, perform RCA, FMEA and other reliability tools to improve equipment performance.
  • Mine and analyze CMMS work order and failure data to identify trends and eliminate failures.
  • Track and report maintenance reliability metrics including equipment availability, MTBF, MTBR, PM effectiveness and compliance, and other reliability performance metrics.
  • Conceptualize, develop, and execute capital and expense projects that eliminate failure modes and increase asset reliability.
  • Ensure BOMs are complete and accurate for all plant assets.
  • Interface with stores supervisor to ensure critical spares are identified and stocked.
  • Accountable for ensuring the updating, sharing, classifying and storage (also digital archive) of machine books, manuals, technical documentation, and technical drawings.
  • Associate degree or higher in mechanical engineering, industrial maintenance, or a related field and equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance, with at least 2 years in a reliability role.
  • Experience in a food manufacturing environment highly desirable.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, including standing for extended periods, working in confined spaces, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing industrial equipment.
  • Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in CMMS (SAP highly desirable), MS Office, and MS project.
  • Proficiency in data mining/analysis and reliability tools such as RCA, FMEA, etc.
  • Expertise in GMP and food safety desirable.
