The IT QA Tester II is an experienced quality assurance professional who independently designs and executes comprehensive test plans for complex features. This role focuses on functional and exploratory testing while supporting test automation efforts. The IT QA Tester II demonstrates strong domain knowledge, mentors junior testers, and ensures software quality through thorough manual testing from the user's perspective.

  • 3-5 years of software testing experience
  • Strong understanding of testing methodologies

  • Expert in exploratory testing strategies
  • Experience with various testing types (functional, regression, integration, UAT)
  • Understanding of test coverage and risk-based testing
  • Strong domain knowledge in relevant business areas
  • SQL for data validation and verification
  • Basic understanding of APIs and web services
  • Browser developer tools for basic debugging
  • Understanding of HTML/CSS for element identification
  • Comfortable with test management and defect tracking tools
  • Test management tools (Jira, TestRail, qTest, Zephyr)
  • Bug tracking systems (Jira, Azure DevOps)
  • API testing tools (Postman basics)
  • Screen recording and documentation tools
  • Collaboration tools (Slack, Teams, Confluence)
  • Basic scripting ability (nice to have)
  • Basic automation script maintenance
  • Performance testing awareness
  • Accessibility testing (WCAG basics)
  • Mobile device testing (iOS/Android)
  • ISTQB Foundation or Advanced certification
