The IT Project Manager is responsible for coordinating and managing multiple projects and end-to-end migration processes within the Division of Technology. This role ensures successful delivery of projects on time, within budget, and meeting quality standards. The IT Project Manager will execute and deliver high-performing systems and third-party integrations that are production-ready to serve the district's needs. The position requires the ability to influence, educate, and drive results in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment. The IT Project Manager will strategically analyze business and technical challenges and effectively communicate recommendations to senior leadership. In this role, the IT Project Manager will develop business requirement documents by gathering use cases and collaborating with technology and cross-functional teams to build the required features. They will lead initiatives from conception through execution, creating effective program plans that include budget, requirements, procurement, implementation, quality assurance, user acceptance testing, training documentation, transition to customer support, and key performance indicators (KPIs). The IT Project Manager will establish and track KPIs to measure program progress and success, prepare detailed release notes, and identify areas needing documentation enhancements. Collaboration is a key aspect of this position, as the IT Project Manager will work closely with stakeholders to define and execute program goals, maintaining effective communication and engagement throughout the program lifecycle. They will identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks to program success, distilling complex information into clear and concise content for stakeholder groups. The IT Project Manager will also collaborate with the technology team on release scope, considering team capacity, business roadmap, and any backlog, while streamlining and communicating interdependencies with partner teams to ensure cohesive progress. The IT Project Manager is expected to maintain a commitment to the district's mission, vision, and strategic goals, demonstrating high professionalism, standards of conduct, and work ethic. They will provide high-quality customer service, build rapport with consumers, and demonstrate cultural competence in interactions with others. The role may also involve performing other job-related duties as assigned in accordance with board rules, policies, and regulations.
