About The Position

This position manages or assists with managing large, moderately complex projects or multiple small projects from idea through execution. The Project Manager supervises all project parameters, documents user stories and functional requirements, and assists in requirements gathering and user story creation to ensure documentation is completed for assigned projects. They aid in the design while making sure the scope of the project is maintained. The role involves planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget, acquiring resources, and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Manager will also define the project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree.
  • A minimum of two years experience (or an equivalent combination).
  • Experience with various Project Management methodologies.
  • PMP certification is desirable.
  • Excellent project management, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Experience with project management software.

Responsibilities

  • Manages or assists with managing large, moderately complex projects or multiple small projects.
  • Follows established project management policies, standards, and methodologies.
  • Tracks and reports on action items assigned to project team members.
  • Seeks assistance from and follows direction of more senior project managers in addressing unexpected challenges.
  • Escalates issues which may impact project timeline to avoid delays.
  • Updates documentation to reflect changes made during the project timeline.
  • Ensures that documentation is available to team members and others throughout the project timeline.
  • Supervises project schedules, timelines, processes, workflow, and other parameters as needed to ensure effective project delivery.
  • Develops and maintains accurate project plans using established software and methods.
  • Conducts project meetings with team to record progress on action items and deliverables, track task assignments, and document changes in project status.
  • Discusses escalations with more senior project managers and escalates issues to project sponsor in a timely manner.
  • Ensures projects are within budget, on time, and in scope.
  • Works collaboratively with others in the project management team and effectively communicates progress, challenges, and issues that may affect larger project outcome.
