This position can be based in Yarmouth, MA; Washington, DC or US remote Staf f work a hybrid schedule with 2 days/week in the office The IT Project Manager manages the effective use of Information Technology solutions to support the organization's tactical plans and strategies. The PM acts as a leader in the recommendation and implementation of Supporter Database, Reporting, Business Intelligence initiatives, and other organizational applications and tools. Role and Responsibilities Initiate projects including scope definition/high-level requirements definition, project plan development, issue escalation/risk management procedures, and project kick-off. Review systems development project requests and manage schedules and related departmental activities. Develop and integrate formal project processes and integrate best practices, including project tracking tools and standardization of project deliverable expectations and formats within the IFAW SDLC phases. Manage project team members’ activities, including developers, systems personnel, and consultants who are allocated to the development and integration of projects. Manage project budgets. Lead the formulation and definition of IFAW’s Strategic Reporting and Business Intelligence Initiative. Provide ongoing support for IFAW’s CRM solution, including user support and vendor relationships. Develop functional requirements and technical specifications for system applications. Work directly with management personnel to provide technical advice and collect application requirements. Act as a lead for all projects that require IT technical development or integration. Maintain an ongoing awareness of the latest marketing database, financial, and reporting software features and services so that those that provide benefit can be assimilated in IFAW. Analyze systems requirements and determine resource allocation necessary to implement projects. Create and maintain test plans for critical applications. Analyze application upgrades and user group modification requests to examine the impact on the IFAW user community. Act as a champion for change management throughout the organization, both during system rollout and ongoing. Prepare activity, progress, and status reports regarding system projects for Sr. Management. Identify opportunities to standardize IFAW’s reporting approach across the organization where applicable. Coordinate and ensure communication between technical IT personnel, across organizational departments, and outside consultants as required. Partner with business units to identify application training needs; develop a plan for delivery. Act as an escalation point for problems/requests requiring a high level of expertise in the application’s user tools, ad hoc utilities, and vendor interfaces.
