About The Position

The IT Project Manager will support projects that solve technical or business challenges and introduce new or advanced technology and infrastructure capabilities into the network enterprise or overall IT environment. Project types will include maintenance efforts, software delivery cycles, hardware and software upgrades, lifecycle management projects, major IT initiatives, or other IT-related projects.

Requirements

  • Must have an active secret or higher clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree (degree in Computer Science/Management preferred) or 10 or more years’ related work experience.
  • Project management experience.
  • Five or more years of management and supervision of military projects.
  • PMP or Agile Methodology Certification, such as Scrum Master Certification.
  • Advanced knowledge of project management best practices and standards.
  • Ability to work within a team-oriented, collaborative environment, develop strong working relationships across organizations.
  • Effective written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to support projects and issues through completion, strong follow-through and critical problem-solving skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of computer-based tools for project management.
  • Knowledge in Agile methodology.
  • Ability to analyze new and complex project-related problems and create innovative solutions that normally involve the schedule, technology, methodology, tools, solution components, and financial management of the project.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support all phases of simultaneous IT projects, as well as the transition to sustainment activities.
  • Conduct business analysis to gather and refine business and technical requirements for assigned projects.
  • Assess and develop draft project documentation for newly approved IT projects.
  • Ensure satisfactory performance to schedule, cost, quality, communications, risks, and other project requirements through continuous monitoring and control.
  • Collaborate and brief stakeholders on project status, risks, and concerns throughout project execution.
  • Support and execute Request for Change (RFCs) through the TD change management processes.
  • Develop and maintain all project documents, knowledge, and artifacts within a project knowledge system to support consolidated project summary.
  • Compile an archive of project information as part of project closure, capturing and preserving lessons learned within a knowledge archive.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
