About The Position

The IT Project Manager is responsible for strategizing, implementing, and maintaining IT program initiatives that align with organizational objectives. This role leads complex, cross-functional IT infrastructure projects within a manufacturing or industrial environment, with a strong focus on IT construction, networking, and enterprise systems integration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience partnering with General Contractors and Facilities teams during construction implementations for manufacturing buildings, data center build-outs, or expansions.
  • Knowledge of structured cabling, Division 27 standards, AV standards, and telecom/construction drawings for office and industrial environments.
  • 8+ years of experience managing complex, cross-functional IT infrastructure projects and programs in manufacturing or industrial sectors.
  • Proven experience leading large-scale infrastructure implementations integrating plant floor systems (OT) with enterprise IT.
  • Experience implementing and refreshing enterprise network solutions (e.g., multi-site connectivity, factory LAN/WLAN, DHCP, DNS).
  • Experience implementing and refreshing enterprise server, data, and backup solutions (e.g., data centers, NAS, backup, disaster recovery, server patching, Active Directory, server OS upgrades).
  • Deep understanding of cloud computing principles, migration strategies, and deployment experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Experience with project management tools such as Smartsheet, Jira, and Google Workspace.
  • Strong background in IT construction and deep networking experience.

Responsibilities

  • Strategize, implement, and maintain program initiatives aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Communicate effectively across all levels, bridging technical discussions between manufacturing teams, engineers, subject matter experts, and senior leadership.
  • Define program charters, roles, tasks, milestones, budgets, and success metrics.
  • Develop estimates and detailed plans to manage end-to-end program execution, ensuring alignment with production schedules and deployment windows.
  • Ensure manufacturing and business requirements are captured accurately and completely.
  • Facilitate cross-functional planning, alignment, and design sessions across engineering, network, DevOps, facilities, and design teams.
  • Apply disciplined project management methodologies to define scope, develop program plans, and execute sub-projects within cost and schedule.
  • Use critical thinking and independent problem-solving skills to overcome project challenges.
  • Develop and manage program risk mitigation plans to ensure timely delivery, testing, and commissioning without impacting business continuity.
