About The Position

As an IT Project Manager at SIXT, you will play a critical role in driving technology execution that enables our rapid growth across the United States. Reporting into IT leadership and partnering closely with Operations, Infrastructure, and global stakeholders, you will lead the planning and execution of technology initiatives that support new branch openings, infrastructure deployments, and operational enhancements. This role is ideal for structured, solution-oriented professionals who thrive in fast-paced, multi-project environments and enjoy turning complex technical initiatives into scalable, repeatable execution frameworks.

Requirements

  • Education & Experience – You bring 3–5+ years of experience managing IT, infrastructure, or systems implementation projects, ideally within multi-site or operational environments
  • Project Leadership & Organization – You are highly organized, able to manage multiple concurrent initiatives under tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail
  • Stakeholder Management – You effectively collaborate across technical and non-technical teams, building alignment between Operations, Vendors, and IT partners
  • Risk & Governance Mindset – You proactively identify risks, implement mitigation strategies, and ensure projects adhere to defined governance and quality standards
  • Technical Tools – You are experienced with project management tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, or similar platforms
  • Certifications & Travel – You are authorized to work in the United States and available for travel as required

  • PMP certification is preferred

Responsibilities

  • You lead IT readiness planning for new branch openings, ensuring all infrastructure, systems, and technology components are fully operational prior to launch
  • You define project scope, timelines, milestones, and measurable success criteria while aligning execution with global SIXT standards
  • You coordinate cross-functional stakeholders including Operations, Facilities, Security, Vendors, and global IT teams to ensure seamless project delivery
  • You establish clear go / no-go readiness criteria, proactively identifying risks and escalating blockers to maintain launch timelines
  • You develop and maintain standardized branch opening playbooks, governance frameworks, and documentation to drive consistency across markets
  • You provide structured status reporting and executive-ready updates to leadership, ensuring transparency, accountability, and data-driven decision making
