About The Position

Nationwide IT Services (NIS) is seeking a highly organized and proactive Senior IT Project Manager for a potential opportunity supporting a federal government client in Lakewood, CO. The selected candidate will lead, coordinate, and manage multiple initiatives across IT and program support areas, ensuring compliance with established processes and achievement of project goals. This role requires strong leadership, financial management skills, and the ability to operate in both Agile/SAFe and traditional project environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 7+ years’ experience as an IT Project Manager, preferably supporting federal government programs.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, SAFe, and traditional/waterfall).
  • Demonstrated experience in financial tracking, reporting, and analysis.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in documentation development and records management.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a federal government background clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and facilitate initiatives across Agile, SAFe, and traditional project environments.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, track progress, and ensure timelines are met.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and integration.
  • Monitor risks, identify issues, and drive resolution of roadblocks.
  • Be the primary point of contact to government stakeholders.
  • Collect and manage financial data for multiple IT projects.
  • Track and align expenditures across initiatives.
  • Monitor investment percentages across infrastructure, application development & operations, and new technology.
  • Assist in financial analysis tasks and preparation of required financial reports.
  • Track project progress against baseline plans.
  • Perform and/or assist government staff in the development, organization, storage, and maintenance of key program and project documentation.
  • Prepare and manage program/project plans, standard operating procedures, contingency and continuity of operations plans, and related documentation.
  • Participate in feasibility studies.
  • Provide meeting support, including planning, scheduling, preparing materials, and recording/distributing minutes.
  • Develop and track correspondence, reports, and briefing materials.
