Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or other related fields.
  • 5 - 7 years of project management experience; PMP certification.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability managing teams in a matrix environment.
  • Excellent oral and written skills.
  • Proven upper management presentation skills, impeccable time management skills, and ability to work with all levels of management.
  • Two years experience managing projects including IT infrastructure- Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Cisco networking, Microsoft Operating Systems and Databases.
  • Experience managing project using Agile methodologies and tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in process manufacturing IT (e.g. Fertilizers, Chemicals, Oil & Gas, Utilities, Pharmaceuticals).
  • Prior experience working with the following software: PI (Aveva Plant Information), SAP, GE-APM, UptimeAI.

Responsibilities

  • Manages project development from initiation to closure and will be accountable for project results.
  • Works with the project sponsor and stakeholders to complete the project charter and the statement of work, outlining the scope, goals, deliverables, required resources, budget and timing.
  • Ensures that complete requirements have been gathered and documented.
  • Completes the work breakdown structure to estimate effort required for each task.
  • Provides a project schedule to identify when each task will be performed and by which team member.
  • Provides appropriate communications to the project sponsor and stakeholders and manage clear expectations.
  • Resolves issues and problems as they arise throughout the project's life cycle.
  • Identifies risks and risk mitigation plans.
  • Manages project scope by ensuring that any changes to the scope are documented and approved by the project sponsor using project change request forms.
  • Identifies and track project milestones and the critical path, while providing status reports to the project sponsor and the PMO.
  • Leads and motivates project team members on a proactive basis, and keeps projects on time and within budget.
  • Determines how project success will be measured and conducts a post-project evaluation to determine how well results were achieved.
  • Ensures that all project documents have been safely stored and are accessible to the project team.
  • Establishes and implements processes and procedures to meet departmental internal controls requirements.
