EO/AA The ITS Project Manager II leads technology projects for the Information Technology Services (ITS) Project Management Office, working closely with Radiology IT and clinical/operational partners. This role translates project goals into actionable plans, facilitates collaboration across technical and clinical teams, and ensures successful delivery of IT solutions that support Radiology’s patient-care mission. The PM operates with independence, using standard project management approaches to organize work, manage stakeholders, and drive project execution in a fast-paced, complex healthcare environment. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, or Business Administration or Computer Science or Health Care Administration or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of project management principles with the ability to tailor methods to diverse technical and clinical environments.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills that adapt to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to prioritize and sequence work across multiple projects.
  • Sound judgment in navigating ambiguity, troubleshooting issues, and coordinating across teams.
  • Comfort with IT concepts, systems, and data needed to manage technical and clinical application projects.
  • Projects may involve imaging systems (e.g., PACS, RIS), integrations, modality upgrades, workflow enhancements, and clinical space technology improvements.
  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate with multidisciplinary partners.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous project management or project coordinator experience.
  • Project Management Professionals (PMPs) with Strong Knowledge of PMI processes.
  • Five years of progressively responsible experience in business, healthcare, or IT, including at least two years of formal project management.
  • Experience working in technical, operational, or healthcare environments.
  • Basic project management certification (e.g., CAPM) or willingness to obtain.
  • Master’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or Healthcare Administration.
  • PMP, CSM, or other PM-related certification (or ability to obtain).
  • IT certifications (e.g., ITIL®, CompTIA).
  • Experience in healthcare information systems or healthcare technology project management.
  • Knowledge of and experience with Radiology imaging systems (i.e. PACS, RIS).

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate project intake and priority coordination, and lead and coordinate IT projects from planning through implementation and closure.
  • Supports projects tied to information technology, clinical operations, image lifecycle management, diagnostic workflows, and patient-facing technology.
  • Develop project scope, schedules, risks, and status reports using standard project management tools.
  • Apply appropriate methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid) to fit project needs.
  • Facilitate effective meetings, communicate progress, and escalate issues proactively.
  • Collaborates regularly with Radiology IT leadership, modality managers (CT, MRI, US, X-ray), and clinical stakeholders to coordinate technology implementations.
  • Manage risks, changes, and dependencies to support on-time delivery.
  • Maintain clear project documentation and support continuous improvement within the PMO.
