IT Project Manager - Construction Integration
About The Position
We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven IT Project Manager to lead the technology workstream of a multi-year building construction project. This role is responsible for coordinating internal technical teams and third-party vendors, including low voltage cabling, power, and construction partners-to ensure the successful delivery of IT infrastructure aligned with construction milestones. The ideal candidate excels in communication, stakeholder coordination, and managing cost, quality, and schedule.
Requirements
- Industry-recognized project management certification (e.g., PMP, Agile, Scrum)
- Proven experience in IT project management, preferably within construction or infrastructure environments
- Strong technical aptitude and understanding of IT systems integration
- Excellent customer service and stakeholder management skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage third-party vendors and procurement processes
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and execution of IT deliverables within a large-scale construction project
- Manage project scope, schedule, and budget to meet defined objectives
- Coordinate with engineering leads and third-party vendors to ensure timely delivery of IT systems and services
- Oversee procurement and tracking of hardware, software, and services required for project completion
- Serve as the primary liaison for all IT-related communications among stakeholders
- Ensure project milestones are met and reported accurately
- Collaborate with technical leads on QA/QC processes and deployment documentation
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans
- Manage all client communications and updates
- Utilize workflow systems to track and communicate project progress
- Coordinate with construction vendors and external service providers (e.g., ISPs, utilities)
- Work with engineering leadership to assign field engineering resources
- Assign and track project tasks in the service delivery system
- Review and approve project-related timecards
- Identify, escalate, and communicate project risks and changes
