About The Position

The IT Project Management Specialist at Electric Research and Manufacturing Cooperative, Inc. (ERMCO) is a remote role focused on supporting and shaping a growing Project Management Office (PMO). The specialist will contribute to process design, continuous improvement, and best practices while assisting in the development and implementation of PMO policies, procedures, and controls. This position offers the chance to gain hands-on experience with ERP integration and aligning processes with new systems, making a direct impact on financial and operational performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 3+ years of combined experience in project management and PMO roles.
  • Background in financials, budgeting, and forecasting (departmental forecasting emphasis).
  • Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) preferred.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across functions and levels.

Responsibilities

  • Support and help shape a growing PMO by contributing to process design, continuous improvement, and best practices.
  • Assist in developing, documenting, and implementing PMO policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Facilitate training and onboarding PMO processes.
  • Collaborate across IT and other business units to align processes with new ERP systems and integration projects.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on performance, metrics, and project status.
  • Actively contribute to the exchange of ideas across the PMO, IT department, and business units to ensure best practices are shared and consistently applied throughout the organization.
  • Promote knowledge-sharing, cross-functional teamwork, and a culture of collaboration.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to customer service; anticipate, meet, and exceed expectations by solving problems quickly and effectively, making customer concerns a priority.
  • Ensure adherence to IT and organizational policies, standards, and governance practices.
