Amentum is currently searching for an IT Programmer/Developer I to work in our Englewood, CO office. The IT Programmer/Developer job family is responsible for design, development, troubleshooting, debugging, integration and implementation of systems (hardware and/or software). Analyzes and studies complex system requirements for deployment of new systems and services. Tests, debugs and refines the system procedure to improve performance. Develops, modifies, applies and maintains developed standards for in-house products and processes, i.e., follows best practices in coding and documentation. Provides technical guidance in IT engineering techniques and automated support tools. Follows documented software development standards and approaches. Follows the defined visual style of the application. Develops solutions based upon a defined specification and test plan. Develops software solutions that operate against relational databases including: Relational / object mapping, Screen Creation and Report Development. Participates in department code reviews. Performs unit testing of their work. Completes work based upon the project schedule. Assists in the response to Helpdesk ticket support requests. Maintains, troubleshoots, and performs regular backup and data migration activities for various databases residing is various platforms. Provides cross-training and/or end-user training for finished products. Assist in documenting/developing cyber protections to in-production/in-house developed applications.

  • Must be a US citizen, Dual citizenship must be disclosed.
  • Successfully pass background checks and drug testing.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology field (MIS, CIS, CS) or demonstrated equivalent required.
  • Some IT experience preferred.
  • Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance.
  • Debugging and coding experience on apps and databases.
