About The Position

The Programmer Analyst analyzes the needs of users or business groups and provides technical support for information systems , including coding, designing, implementing, and debugging programs . The position also conducts technical research on system upgrades to determine feasibility, cost, time requirements, and compatibility with existing systems.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in business administration, Allied Health, Computer Science , or a related field.
  • Two years of specialized training in an applicable field may be accepted in lieu of the education requirement.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a high-production, high-stress environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Applicable license required if relevant to system assignment (e.g., Laboratory, Respiratory , etc.).
  • Five (5) or more years of experience in an Information Technology field.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary resource for implementing project plans by:
  • Establishing goals and deadlines
  • Conducting testing and implementation activities
  • Constructing and executing test scripts
  • Documenting testing results
  • Providing post-live support for assigned business and clinical system applications
  • Develop recommendations to address business requirements based on functional specifications and discussions with the user community, utilizing delivered functionality whenever possible to minimize customizations
