The Opportunity: Abbott is seeking an IT Program Manager-Commercial Delivery to join our Business Technology Group which combines functional and technical responsibilities. The IT Program Manager has primary responsibility for the planning, building, and delivery of global commercial solutions. The ideal candidate will be a results-driven Information Technology professional with a proven track record. Strength in aligning IT solutions with business strategies and building strong relationships across various clients and IT groups. They will have experience supporting all aspects of information technology, including the following: Management experience implementing and sustaining strategic programs with an emphasis on client collaboration and project and operations execution Strategic Planning Demand Management Release Management Operations Management Vendor Management Staff Management Process Improvement Application Development Regulated Industry Implementations Project Management What You’ll Work On: The IT Program Manager- Commercial Delivery, should have advanced level expertise in one or more of the following areas: Release and DevOps management Client and stakeholder collaboration End‑to‑end delivery across project and operational lifecycles Salesforce customer service solutions The IT Program Manager- Commercial Delivery should have a broad level of expertise in the following areas: Integration solutions Enterprise Service Layer Lead and coordinate multiple interrelated IT initiatives, managing scope, schedule, budget, risks, and dependencies to ensure successful outcomes Partner with business leaders and executive IT stakeholders to define program objectives, business cases, and long‑term investment roadmaps Provide day‑to‑day leadership for cross‑functional project teams, including internal employees and external resources, fostering collaboration, resolving conflicts, and driving high‑performance delivery Own and oversee deployment management across programs, including release planning, cutover coordination, environment readiness, and go‑live execution, ensuring minimal business disruption and adherence to quality and compliance standards Assess and manage the impact of scope changes, risks, and issues; drive alignment with sponsors and leadership on resolution strategies Track and report program performance against approved plans and budgets, ensuring transparency and data‑driven decision‑making Lead cross‑functional teams to develop, execute, and deliver program plans, securing appropriate resources and driving accountability Communicate program and portfolio status through clear, concise reporting for project teams, divisional leadership, and executive management Proactively manage priorities and resource allocation in collaboration with business partners to meet evolving program needs Facilitate workshops to elicit requirements, document current and future‑state processes, and clearly articulate proposed solutions Participate in pre‑program (Phase 0) activities, including solution demos and client proposals Lead program‑level governance and project meetings Serve as an escalation point for critical risks, issues, and defects, working closely with run teams and leadership to drive resolution Act as a bridge between functional and technical teams to ensure successful, sustainable implementations Manage, mentor, and motivate cross‑functional and enterprise project teams Ensure compliance with all applicable corporate and divisional policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements Make strategic decisions that influence divisional or enterprise‑level outcomes Travel domestically up to approximately 10% as required EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 8+ years’ experience in project management, program management, business systems analysis and deployment working with global teams.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing IT platforms projects delivery.
  • Ability to understand business requirements and convert them into a scalable solution design
  • Ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously; workload will be a blend of small, medium, and large implementation projects.

  • Strong presentation and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working in Customer service, Call center & managing IT platforms.
