The City of Houston is seeking an IT Professional - Security (Cybersecurity Analyst) to join the Houston Information Technology Services department within the Cyber Security division. This position is responsible for communicating cyber risks and recommendations to mitigate risks to the City of Houston's Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). The analyst will support and maintain the current information security awareness program, evaluate its effectiveness, and create a metrics framework to measure engagement and training impact. The role also includes acting as the department program coordinator for the CJIS Clearance Program, managing employee communications related to CJIS, and conducting basic malware analysis. The analyst will manage the Security Operations Center (SOC) mailbox, participate in investigations of information security incidents, and perform real-time detection and analysis of threats.
