Information Technology (IT) Professionals analyze, develop, implement, maintain, and modify computer operations, systems, networks, databases, applications, and/or information security. Incumbents may perform duties in one or more IT specialization areas depending on the needs of the agency. Incumbents perform journey level duties and may serve as a lead worker to lower level IT staff as assigned. This is a supervisory level for the Computer Operations function. The Division of Social Services is currently recruiting for an IT Professional 2 located in Carson City. This position will be a part of the Operations Help Desk at the Central Administrative Office. The incumbent will supervise technical and program staff and plan, organize, and coordinate the development and implementation of revised operating procedures for the unit. The position will back up support staff, providing technical and program support to Department of Social Services' field staff, program area offices, District Attorney offices, and other State and Federal Agencies.
