About The Position

The IT Product Owner - NSC Safety Exchange will serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and the IT development team for the NSC Safety Exchange platform. This role is responsible for defining product vision, managing the product backlog, and ensuring that delivered solutions align with organizational goals and member needs. The Product Owner will partner closely with cross-functional teams to prioritize features, refine requirements, and oversee the delivery of value-driven enhancements to the Safety Exchange ecosystem. Strong analytical skills, communication abilities, and a deep understanding of product lifecycle management are essential for success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field, OR equivalent relevant experience.
  • 3 years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role in IT product development.
  • Proven experience with Agile methodologies and backlog management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with safety, compliance, or knowledge exchange platforms is preferred.
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across technical and business teams.

Responsibilities

  • Define and communicate the product vision and roadmap for the NSC Safety Exchange.
  • Own and prioritize the product backlog, balancing business needs, technical constraints, and member value.
  • Collaborate with business units, IT, and external partners to capture requirements and validate features.
  • Act as the product owner within Agile teams, providing clear priorities, acceptance criteria, and feedback.
  • Ensure high-quality product releases by working closely with QA, developers, and business analysts.
  • Analyze usage data, feedback, and performance metrics to inform product enhancements and roadmap decisions.
  • Maintain product documentation, release notes, and stakeholder communications.
