MBA Leadership Program - IT Strategic Planner Internship Based at Emerson's global headquarters in St. Louis, Missouri, our 10-week IT Strategic Planner internship is an opportunity to work closely with senior executives and cross-functional teams to drive enterprise-wide initiatives that influence the direction of Emerson's global operations. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about solving complex business problems, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and are eager to make a measurable impact. In addition to project work, interns will participate in leadership development sessions featuring Emerson's executive team. The program also includes organized social events to help interns connect with peers and explore the St. Louis area. Our internship program serves as a pipeline to Emerson's full-time MBA Leadership Program, a four-year, two-rotation experience designed to develop the next generation of senior leaders. Requirements

  • Are working towards the completion of an MBA
  • You have 1-3 years' relevant experience

Responsibilities

  • Partner directly with Emerson's CIO and senior IT leaders to drive the strategic direction of global technology initiatives, immersing yourself in high-impact projects that shape the company's digital future.
  • Take ownership in designing and executing key elements of Emerson's annual IT strategic planning process-including governance model execution, performance benchmarking, and innovative budgeting strategies.
  • Develop executive-level presentations and communications for audiences spanning from the C-suite to global business units, gaining visibility and real influence within a Fortune 500 organization.
  • Analyze industry trends, emerging technologies, and market intelligence to deliver actionable insights and recommendations that drive competitive advantage for Emerson's IT function.
  • Lead data-driven research and strategic scenario planning, collaborating with diverse, cross-functional teams to solve complex business challenges with measurable results.
  • Measure and present the impact of your work on enterprise-wide transformation efforts, positioning yourself as a trusted thought partner to senior decision makers.
