About The Position

As a Microsoft Datacenter IT Operations Director, you lead and manage a team of individual contributors as well as overseeing data center site services and logistics. This role will give you an opportunity to lead a highly effective team. Microsoft's Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) is the engine that powers our cloud services. As a CO+I ITOM, you will perform a key role in delivering the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's online services including Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and the Microsoft Azure platform. As a group, CO+I is focused on the personal and professional development for all employees and offers trainings and growth opportunities including Career Rotation Programs, Diversity & Inclusion trainings and events, and professional certifications. Requirements

  • High School Qualification or equivalent AND 10+ years experience of mission-critical service management
  • 3+ years of people management experience
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, non-business hours, or other scenarios required by rhythm of the business
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's or Technical College Degree in Computer Science, Math, Telecommunications, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related field AND 15+ years experience in enterprise-level experience managing large scale and complex projects/programs
  • High School Qualification or equivalent AND 17+ years experience in enterprise-level experience managing large scale and complex projects/programs
  • 5+ years of people management experience
  • Applicable certifications: APICS/Inventory Control, CompTIA, Microsoft, Network Certifications, CCNA Certifications, ITIL v3 Foundation, Microsoft Operations Framework (MOF) Certifications, Leadership Development Certifications, PMP, CDCMP
  • Enterprise-level Experience in managing large-scale and complex projects/programs
  • Working knowledge of audit and compliance requirements in a large global enterprise
  • Problem-solving skills, analytical capabilities, data analysis, and attention to detail
  • Verbal and written communication and organization skills
  • Must be able to multi-task and project manage many tasks simultaneously

  • Managing and overseeing datacenter site services, logistics, and deployment
  • Collaborating and coordinating with multiple internal business groups to ensure the successful delivery of service levels
  • Analyzing production operations and initiate corrective actions to ensure operational stability
  • Initiate and establish quality standards for the Datacenter teams and manage those initiatives through to completion
