The International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group, is seeking a Lead Data Engineer to join its Data Engineering & Platforms (CITDE) organization. This role is pivotal in supporting IFC's mission to leverage the power of the private sector to end extreme poverty and boost shared prosperity. The Lead Data Engineer will be responsible for migrating transactional database systems to the Microsoft Azure Cloud Platform, ensuring that the data migration process is efficient and effective. This position requires a deep understanding of technical requirements and the ability to design, plan, manage, and troubleshoot data pipelines. In this role, you will create and maintain optimal pipeline architecture while identifying and implementing internal process improvements. This includes redesigning infrastructure for greater scalability, optimizing data delivery, and automating manual processes. You will build the necessary infrastructure for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from various sources using AWS and SQL technologies. Additionally, you will develop analytical tools to utilize the data pipeline, providing actionable insights into key business performance metrics such as operational efficiency and customer acquisition. Collaboration is key in this position, as you will work closely with stakeholders from various teams, including data, design, product, and executive teams, to support their data infrastructure needs and assist with data-related technical issues.
