About The Position

As a part of the Information Technology (IT) group at NextEra Energy, you will work as part of a team that provides computer application programming services to the nuclear business fleet. You will be responsible for the development of new products or enhancements of existing applications in Amazon Web Services cloud or on-premises platforms. You shall provide technical and functional support on sound software engineering and development processes, to deliver business value by translating complex requirements into valuable business outcomes.

Requirements

• High school grad / GED
• Maintain active enrollment in a Bachelor or higher degree program
• Maintain cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher

Responsibilities

• Assist with programming activities
• Support cloud and on-premise applications
• Complete challenging projects and assignments
• Help map, evaluate and develop processes for various Project Management activities
• Gaining an understanding of Agile and Waterfall methodologies
• Learning the relationship between the business and IT
• Present final project to senior leadership at the end of the internship
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned
• Assist with 'clean' code development and process improvements
