About The Position

Valiant Integrated Services is looking for a full time IT/ Network Simulator Technician in a fast growing company with competitive pay and great benefits, including health, vision and dental insurance, paid time off and 401k. This position is for maintenance of a simulator training device used for the U.S. Navy F-18 program.

Requirements

  • 2+ years electronics maintenance or graduation from a two-year resident Electronics Technician course at an accredited technical institute or the equivalent.
  • Demonstrate competence through satisfactory progressive performance as an IT/Network Simulator or Electronic Technician.
  • Experience operating computer equipment and proficient in MS Word and Excel.
  • Will provide assistance in the use of LRC equipment, including audio/visual, podiums and projectors
  • Able to identify computer and computer network systems failures.
  • Be able to fabricate name placards utilizing large format printer.
  • Possess the ability to obtain a US Passport and must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Position is contingent upon additional security vetting and Government approval
  • Training or experience equivalency will be evaluated on a case by case basis by the Government.
  • Active Secret clearance.
  • An Information Assurance (IA) certification of CompTIA A+ is required
  • An approved Operating System Certification will be required within 6 months of hire.
  • Physical ability to walk, stand, and/or sit for extended periods of time, and to climb two (2) flights of stairs is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Active Top Secret preferred.
  • Security + is desired.

Responsibilities

  • Perform trainer system startup/shutdown as required with assistance.
  • Perform organizational and intermediate level maintenance on all site training devices in accordance with all applicable safety and maintenance documents.
  • Perform daily, weekly, monthly, and annual periodic maintenance tasks.
  • Ability to effectively interface/communicate with U.S. Navy Aircrew personnel and other contractors.
  • Maintain records to document and support maintenance efforts.
  • Keep the Site Manager informed of training devices status and any on-going logistics efforts.
  • Assist Site Manager with logistic functions.
  • Work collaboratively with SMEs and Technicians requires mental alertness and ability to follow written and verbal instructions given in English.
  • Perform janitorial services on assigned spaces as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.
